Was pleasantly surprised to see my latest effort making the local paper. It’s always nice when a piece gets a reaction and this one seems to have gained a lot of local support. In fact, the day after I painted it a note was stuck to the wall by a neighbour saying they liked it and over the next few days many of the locals added their own comments to it.

It does tickle me how everything gets assumed to be a Banksy these days and I can only imagine how irritating it must be for him to keep having stuff attributed to him. Equally it did make my wince a bit when the article seemed to suggest that people should stop getting so excited after it was confirmed that it wasn’t his work. Surely the point is that in the first instance they were struck by the image appearing in their neighbourhood overnight, not by who did it,….. No?

Anyway, I did it and it’s there for everyone and anyone to enjoy and that’s that….

I used to run a blog somewhere else on the net and due to being something of a lazy arse I managed to completely forget the name and password for it, so I thought I might as well start off a new one. This being the 1st post of what hopefully will grow into a good up to date account of everything I get up to.

For those of you who don’t know I like to run around London mainly under the cover of night painting little murals/pieces on unloved bare public walls and street furniture. Some people might classify it as graffiti but I know that those who consider themselves to be true genuine Graff artists would throw a blue fit at being associated with what I do. I suppose my stuff most comfortably fits into the Genre that has been dubbed “street art” and for want of a better expression, and to save arguments, I am happy to go along with that. In the long run, however, I like to think of the daubings I make as unexpected stops along the walk to work /school or the bus stop that might make you stop for a second and catch your attention. It might even lift your mood a little or make you smile just a bit. It might take your mind off worrying how you’re going to pay the rent this week and It could even make you reach for your mobile and capture it and take it with you.

Although my street work is essentially what I do I have been incredibly lucky over the past few years to have people wanting to own it. This has led to me producing commercial work which I have displayed in numerous galleries and shows and have also sold limited edition prints of my work Internationally.

Over the next few weeks I’ll try to update this blog with some older stuff that I did to try to give a bit of background before bringing it right back up to date with what I’m doing now and in the near future.
